
Eight Straight: St. Cloud Streak Continues with Bismarck Sweep

St. Cloud, Minn. - The St. Cloud Norsemen run their win streak to eight in a row with a weekend sweep of the Bismarck Bobcats.
On Friday, the Norsemen used a pair of goals from Jack Whitmore, a goal and pair of assists from Chris Lynch, a goal by Chase Freiermuth and a trio of assists from Peyton Hanson to top the Bobcats 4-1. Goaltender Tomas Bolo earned his seventh straight win in goal.
Saturday night, St. Cloud earned its sixth shutout victory of the season in a 1-0 win over Bismarck. Freiermuth scored his second of the weekend and Hanson added another assist. Goaltender Ethan Dahlmeir made 26 saves including 12 in the third period to stave off the Bobcats and secure his third shutout of the year.
St. Cloud leads the Central Division with the highest win percentage. The Norsemen climbed in the Central Division standings and are now two points back of first place Austin ahead of a stretch of four consecutive games against the Bruins. St. Cloud is on the road Friday at Austin before returning to the Municipal Athletic Complex for Saturday's 7:00 p.m. game.
