Northwest Arkansas Naturals News Release

SPRINGDALE, Ark. - The Naturals' parent club, the Kansas City Royals announced a pair of transactions on Thursday affecting the Northwest Arkansas roster. Outfielder Brett Eibner has been activated from the 7-Day Disabled List, while outfielder Alex Llanos has been transferred to Class-A Advanced Wilmington.

Eibner and the Naturals will return home Saturday to continue a four-game series with Tulsa. The last time the outfielder played in Arvest Ballpark was also for a three-game set versus the Drillers, and the former SEC-standout was 6-for-13 with three extra-base-hits including a homerun in the series. The series capped off the week in which Eibner was named the Texas League Player of the Week for hitting .476 with two-homeruns, while collecting three RBI and scoring six runs.

Batting in the lead-off spot in each of the twenty games he appeared in, Eibner tallied a .221 average with two home runs, three doubles and five RBI in 21 games before being placed on the Disabled List on April 29.

The Naturals send RHP Yordano Ventura (3-0, 1.57 ERA) to the mound to wrap up a four-game series tonight in North Little Rock.

Llanos made his Double-A debut on May 1 against the Springfield Cardinals. In seven games, Llanos hit .214 with six hits in 28 at-bats, with a double and run scored. The outfielder from Caguas, PR hit safely in four of the last Naturals last six games. Llanos went 2-for-9 and played all 20 innings in last Saturday night's marathon victory over Springfield.

Eibner will wear number 24 for the Naturals. The Naturals' roster is currently at the Texas League limit of 25 players.

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are the Double-A Texas League affiliate of the Kansas City Royals and play at state-of-the-art Arvest Ballpark, located in Springdale. Visit our website, nwanaturals.com, for information on season tickets and ticket plans.
