Egg Harbor Township Native Kraus Hired As Community Relations Director

Atlantic City, N.J. - The Atlantic City Surf have announced the hiring of Egg Harbor Township native Barry Kraus as Community Relations Director for the 2008 season. Kraus will oversee the club's efforts in partnering with area organizations and participating in community events throughout the Atlantic City region. Kraus will also function as an account executive, expanding the club's presence in the business community.

Kraus spent the 2007 season as the Surf's director of emergency medical services. He is also an emergency medical technician with the Galloway Township ambulance squad and Northfield rescue team. Kraus is a 1998 graduate of Egg Harbor Township High School.

"It's great to be here with the Surf," Kraus said. "As a native of the area, I know how the Surf are an important part of the community, and we hope to build on that foundation for years to come."

SURF SEARCHING FOR PUBLIC ADDRESS ANNOUNCER, MASCOT

The Atlantic City Surf are looking for a public address announcer for the 2008 season. The candidate must be energetic, professional, outgoing and have an excellent knowledge of baseball.

The club is also searching for individuals who would be interested in representing the Surf in the community as their mascot, "Splash." Events range from birthday parties to parades to grand openings.

Events usually last 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Candidates must be child-friendly, energetic, fun, and able to jump and run in a mascot costume. Compensation is $25.00 per event.
