Edmonton Capitals News Release
Join the Edmonton Capitals on July 31st as the team attempts to break the world record number of pitches thrown before a game to raise money for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. The current record sits at 5906 and will take more than 20 hours to break with a pitch being thrown every 13 seconds.
Immediately following the 2pm game on July 31st, fans are invited down to the field to help throw pitches for a $5 donation to the CBCF. The doors will be open all night long for participants with the last pitch being thrown before the August 1st game begins at 7pm.
Staffer John Sutherland will take on most of the pitches for the evening. Come cheer him on or participate yourself for a great cause!
