
Edmonton Aviators will use O\'Leary Catholic High School as official practice facility

Edmonton, April 21, 2004 - The Edmonton Aviators have reached a partnership agreement with Archbishop O'Leary Catholic High School that will see the school's soccer facilities serve as the Aviators practice facility for the 2004 season.
Archbishop O'Leary Catholic High School is located at 8760-132 Avenue. The school boasts first class soccer facilities, which have been used primarily for O'Leary's Soccer Academy program. The highly respected academy has been instructed by Aviators head coach Ross Ongaro.
"We are very pleased to have formed this partnership with the Edmonton Aviators Soccer Club. This partnership brings additional incentives and goals to an already excellent high school soccer program. We welcome the Aviators and wish them every success", said Sam Posteraro, Principal of Archbishop O'Leary Catholic High School.
The facilities agreement is another example of the Edmonton Aviators commitment to work with local organizations and the local soccer community.
"The Edmonton Aviators Men's team is looking forward to sharing Archbishop O'Leary High School's field. The school has terrific soccer facilities because of the excellent Soccer Academy program at O'Leary", said Wylie Stafford, President for the Edmonton Aviators Soccer Club. "It is our goal to make our teams accessible to the Edmonton community, and we feel that this partnership will allow us to do just that."
The Edmonton Aviators are the newest addition to Edmonton's professional sports scene. Both the Aviators Men's and Women's soccer teams will play in the United Soccer Leagues. Both teams will play at Commonwealth Stadium beginning in spring of 2004.
