Edmonton, June 2, 2004 â The Edmonton Aviators Men (0W-4D-1L) play their sixth game of the season, and second home game, on June 3rd at 6pm (MST) against the Seattle Sounders Men.
Seattle finished the 2003 regular season tied with Minnesota for third place in the A-League with 52 points from 28 games played. They finished second in the league in goals for, scoring 45 goals, while surrendering only 24 (second best in the league).
With last season's leading scorer and top goaltender gone, Seattle will be looking for other players to step forward. Kyle Smith (3 goals), Roger Levesque (2 goals, 2 assists), Jason Farrel (2 goals, 1 assist), and Welton Melo (2 goals) have been the top offensive threats for the Sounders so far this season.
Preston Burpo has been solid in net this season surrendering just 5 goals in 5 games.
Jason Farrel scored Seattle's lone goal against Edmonton this season.
