
Edge Sign Murphy Burnatowski as Inactive Reserve Replacement for Diego Kapelan

St. John's, NL - The St. John's Edge announced today that they have signed Kitchener, ON native, Murphy Burnatowski as the Inactive Reserve replacement for Diego Kapelan (Inactive Reserve - Mexican LNB Professional League).
Burnatowski, 6'7", 230lbs, is a product of Colgate University (NCAA D1) where he played his Junior and Senior seasons after transferring from the University of Maine. Burnatowski is a veteran of professional basketball in Europe. Last season with Fribourg Olympic in Switzerland, he averaged 14.54 points and 4.16 rebounds in 30.3 minutes per game. He shot 44.1% (191-for-433) from the field, 36.4% (79-for-217) from three-point range, and 73.3% (77-for-105) from the charity stripe.
The St. John's Edge are pleased to welcome Murphy Burnatowski to the organization and look forward to seeing him suit up this weekend on March 3rd and 4th against Cape Breton at Mile One Centre.
