ECHL Ticket Sales Sales Staff Award Honors Thunder

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, in conjunction with the ECHL, announced the Thunder organization is the January recipient of the Ticket Sales Staff award presented by Guardian WearTM after selling 7,629 group tickets and 7,249 walk-up tickets for seven home dates.

The Thunder ticket sales staff includes vice president of sales Dave Piecuch, director of group sales Alex Geche, corporate account executive Debra Bachle, senior account executive Ryan Amos, account executives Alex Wheatley, Clinton Eastman, Michael Koebler, Robert Norton and Vince Munguia and outside sales representative Kirk Goodman.

In a recent home game against the Bakersfield Condors on Saturday, Feb. 14, a crowd of 7,522 enjoyed the "Great American Wedding Rink" event, in partnership with KAT Country 103 where 103 couples were married or renewed their vows on the ice of Stockton Arena.

In January, the Thunder averaged 6,280 fans through the turnstiles and was 5-2-0 in seven home games. To date, the Thunder has attracted crowds of 7,000 or more to Stockton Arena on seven different occasions.

Stockton leads the ECHL in attendance with 6,310 fans per game and is looking to lead the league for the fourth season in a row. The Thunder, who have welcomed 837,922 fans and have had 13 sellouts including 9,737 on Nov. 8, 2008, are trying to become the first team to lead the league in attendance for four consecutive years since Florida which led the ECHL for a record five straight years from 2000-05.
