
ECHL Promotes Malavasi To Marketing Coordinator

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced on Wednesday that Melinda Malavasi has been promoted to marketing coordinator while continuing to serve as executive assistant to ECHL Commissioner Brian McKenna.
In her expanded role, Malavasi will assist in the facilitation of marketing relationships and also on the organization of the annual ECHL All-Star Game and the annual Marketing and Communications Meeting.
Prior to joining the ECHL in December 2003, Malavasi completed an internship with the marketing department of the New York Rangers, coordinating staff and promotional activities for games days and special events. She also assisted in research and helped complete several marketing projects.
Malavasi was awarded her bachelor's of science degree in physical education with an emphasis on sports management from East Stroudsburg University in May 2003. She was involved with the East Stroudsburg sports management club, learning to plan and execute fund-raising events including the Annual East Stroudsburg Sports Management Golf Tournament.
