ECHL Announces Fine, Suspension

April 16, 2016 - ECHL (ECHL) News Release


PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Saturday announced that Manchester's Danick Paquette has been suspended indefinitely and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Playoff Game #D-2, Adirondack at Manchester, on April 15.

Paquette was assessed a major penalty game and game misconduct for elbowing under Rule #45.5 at 2:28 of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Paquette will miss Manchester's playoff game at Adirondack tonight (April 16) and further discipline will be announced on Monday.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
