ECHL Announces Fine, Suspension

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Saturday announced the following fine and suspension.

Colorado's Forney suspended

Colorado's Michael Forney has been suspended for one game as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #293, Colorado at Alaska, on Dec. 30.

Forney received an instigating penalty with 22 seconds remaining in the third period of the game. He is suspended under Rule 46.21, which states that any player deemed to be the instigator or aggressor of an altercation in the final five (5) minutes of regulation, or at anytime in overtime, shall be automatically suspended from his team's next game.

Forney will miss Colorado's game at Alaska tonight.

Colorado's Pankewicz fined

Colorado assistant coach Greg Pankewicz has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #293, Colorado at Alaska, on Dec. 30.

Pankewicz was assessed a Game Misconduct for Abuse of Officials under Rule #39.5 at 13:22 of the third period.
