
Eastern Conference WHL Playoff Picture Clarified
March 22, 2015 - Western Hockey League (WHL) News Release
Calgary, AB - All four match-ups in the WHL's Eastern Conference for the 2015 WHL Playoffs were solidified on Sunday afternoon in Calgary.
With a win over the visiting Kootenay ICE on Sunday, the Calgary Hitmen captured the Central Division crown and earned a Round 1 date with the same ICE, who hold the first Wild Card position.
With Calgary's win on Sunday, the Medicine Hat Tigers drew the Red Deer Rebels for another Central Division Round 1 clash.
Previously determined, the 2015 WHL regular season champions, the Brandon Wheat Kings, will face-off with the Edmonton Oil Kings in Round 1 while the Regina Pats host the Swift Current Broncos in an East Division affair.
