Salinas Selected in '09 Expansion Draft

San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Shea Salinas was selected in the Major League Soccer Expansion Draft by the Philadelphia Union last week. Salinas was originally selected in the 2008 MLS SuperDraft by the Earthquakes and played in 46 matches for San Jose the past two seasons. He scored two goals and notched five assists with the Quakes.

Lew Wolff on Chronicle Live on Thursday

San Jose Earthquakes owner Lew Wolff will appear on Chronicle Live on Comcast SportsNet Bay Area on Thursday, Dec. 3, which will air at 5 p.m. PT and 11 p.m. PT.

Stuff the Bus Toy Drive

Every year in downtown San Jose, Marine Toys for Tots toy drive hosts a "stuff the bus" day to collect toys for Christmas gifts for needy children in the community. At the event, Valley Transit Authority buses are stuffed with toys. The San Jose Earthquakes front office is making a donation to the event. To participate in the toy drive, fans can bring in any new unwrapped toy to the Quakes offices by Friday, December 11. The offices are located at 451 El Camino Real Suite 220 in Santa Clara, CA.

Earthquakes Holiday Pack

The off-season can feel like an eternity to Quakes fans, but don't worry. Opening day 2010 is just around the corner! Make sure your favorite Quakes fan stays warm in style this winter and has tickets to the home opener on March 27 by giving him or her our Holiday Pack! You'll get four tickets and a special edition vintage Quakes hoodie for only $75. Orders must be placed by Dec. 15 to guarantee delivery by Dec. 25.

Quakes 2010 Season Tickets

The San Jose Earthquakes have significantly reduced season ticket prices for the 2010 Major League Soccer season. Season tickets start as low as $204. Season ticket prices have been reduced in all sections; Premier Midfield will now be $40 per game ($50 in 2009), Center Circle $30 per game ($35 in 2009), Sideline $20 per game ($30 in 2009), Goal View $15 per game ($20 in 2009) and Supporters Section $12 per game ($18 in 2009). For more information on season tickets, to renew season tickets or to place a deposit, call the Earthquakes Front Office at 408-556-7700. The Quakes have also created a number of new features and benefits for season ticket holders next year. A family section has been added inside the stadium, and the Supporters Section has been expanded to create an even greater home field advantage. Season Ticket Holders will additionally have access to the exclusive tailgate parking lot. Corona Cove seats will now be available as a season ticket option, and an extra row of NetSuite VIP On-field seats will be added for next season. Season Ticket Holders will also have first priority to purchase Earthquakes playoff tickets and tickets for international games. They will receive a 15 percent discount on game day merchandise, invitations to exclusive events, and priority rights to seats in the new stadium. The one thing that is not exclusive to Season Ticket Holders is savings.
