
D.C. United Earns Four MLS Sales Awards

Washington, D.C. (November 30, 2009) - Major League Soccer recently honored three members of the D.C. United sales department for their work during the 2009 MLS season. Dan Giffin (Best XI Total Ticket Revenue), Chris Insolera (Best XI Total Ticket Revenue) and Scott Miller (Best XI Total Ticket Revenue, Best XI Group Ticket Sales) were all acknowledged for their work throughout the season. The awards were announced as the League paid tribute to individuals and clubs for outstanding contributions off of the playing field.
Best XI Total Ticket Revenue, Best XI Group Ticket Sales: Scott Miller In his eighth year with the team, Scott Miller was named to the Best XI in Total Ticket Revenue and Group Ticket Sales. Miller has been among the league leaders in both categories for the past five years. He was a previous Total Ticket Revenue & Group Tickets Salesperson of the Year for the 2006, 2007 and 2008 MLS seasons.
Best XI Total Ticket Revenue: Dan Giffin Dan Giffin, who has been with the team since its first year, finished among League leaders in Total Ticket Revenue. The senior account executive has been among League sales leaders on numerous occasions during the last fourteen years.
Best XI Total Ticket Revenue: Chris Insolera After joining the team midway through 2006, Chris Insolera earns his first League award as one of the Best XI in Total Ticket Revenue. In previous years, he finished in the top 25 in season ticket sales (2007, 2008) and total revenue (2008).
