San Jose Earthquakes News Release
SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes fell to FC Dallas 4-1 on Saturday at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas. Forward Jeremy Ebobisse scored his 14th goal of the season, becoming the first player in MLS history to score on the road against all three Texas clubs (at Austin, at Dallas, at Houston) in a single season.
San Jose was well represented in last week's MLS NEXT All-Star Game, with a league-high four players taking part in the youth competition. Homegrown goalkeeper Emi Ochoa and midfielder Cruz Medina were joined by Quakes Academy defender Drew Murray and forward Roka Tsunehara. The quartet all started for the Western Conference with 15-year-old Medina scoring the match's opening goal.
The Earthquakes are now preparing to host Los Angeles Football Club on Saturday, Aug. 20, presented by CEFCU. The match will kick off from PayPal Park at 7 p.m. PT and will be broadcast live on NBC Sports California, KNBR 1050 (English), and 1370 KZSF (Spanish).

Helping Hand
Forward Benji Kikanović tallied an assist on Ebobisse's goal, marking his third assist of the season. He has now tallied one goal and one assist in the last two matches.

Creating Danger
Midfielder Cristian Espinoza, who currently leads San Jose in assists (9) in 2022, has tallied seven career assists against LAFC, most in club history against the opponent.
Top of the West
LAFC holds a league-best 17-4-3 record (54 pts.), sitting first in the Western Conference. The Southern California side will host D.C. United on Tuesday before facing the Earthquakes on Saturday.
MISCELLANEOUS NOTES
Earthquakes Begin Construction on Contiguous Supporters Section
The San Jose Earthquakes announced last Wednesday that the club has begun construction on a contiguous supporters section that will extend from the field to the upper concourse. Construction will be ongoing for the remainder of the 2022 season and is expected to be finished on Nov. 1. In addition to extending the terrace down to field level, all blue seats throughout the supporters section will be removed. The upper portion of the section will feature black seats to match the attire of the San Jose Ultras while the lower portion will utilize safe-standing rails.

Aug. 17, 2021 - Chris Wondolowski Makes 400th MLS Appearance
Former San Jose Earthquakes forward Chris Wondolowski made his 400th MLS regular season appearance on Aug. 17, 2021 against Minnesota United FC at PayPal Park. Wondolowski became just the seventh player, fifth non-goalkeeper, and first forward to reach the milestone.

Earthquakes II returns to MLS NEXT Pro action this weekend when they host St Louis CITY2 on Sunday, Aug. 21. Kickoff from PayPal Park is scheduled for 7 p.m. PT and the match will be streamed live on MLSNEXTPro.com .
