
Earthquakes Defender James Riley Selected by Seattle Sounders FC in 2008 MLS Expansion Draft

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that Quakes defender James Riley was selected by the league's 15th team, Seattle Sounders FC, in the eighth round of the 2008 Major League Soccer Expansion Draft.
Riley, who was picked by the Earthquakes in the fourth round of the 2007 MLS Expansion Draft, started 23 of 24 games in 2008. The Colorado Springs, CO native recorded two assists for the Quakes this season. Riley spent three seasons with the New England Revolution before joining the Earthquakes.
