
Earthquakes Announce Free Caltrain 'Quakes Train' to Charter San Francisco Fans to California Clasico

SAN JOSE, Calif. -The San Jose Earthquakes are partnering with Caltrain to charter a 'Quakes Train' for the California Clasico on Saturday, July 1 at Stanford Stadium, presented by Intermedia. In the tenth iteration of the iconic rivalry match, the Earthquakes are offering to help aid the transportation needs of fans in the San Francisco area. The 'Quakes Train' is complimentary for any fan with a ticket to the California Clasico and will depart from the 4th and King Caltrain station in San Francisco at 5:28 p.m. Eight stops will be made along the way where fans can hop on at 22nd Street (5:33 p.m.), South San Francisco (5:43 p.m.), Millbrae (5:49 p.m.), San Mateo (5:55 p.m.), Hillsdale (5:59 p.m.), Redwood City (6:06 p.m.), Menlo Park (6:12 p.m.), and Palo Alto (6:15 p.m.), before arriving at the Stanford Stadium station at 6:17 p.m.
After the match, the train will depart from Stanford Stadium at 10:30 p.m. and make all local weekend stops back to the 4th and King station in San Francisco. Caltrain will also service a few regular train routes to Stanford Stadium before and after the match. The charter is free for any fans with tickets to the match, and spots will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Visit www.caltrain.com for regular service details.
For ADA accessibility, riders are recommended to step out at the Palo Alto Station. Alcohol will not be permitted on the train after the match.
The Earthquakes are also partnering with two local bars in San Francisco as meet-up points for fans before hopping on the train. Local Tap by the 4th and King stop and The Sea Star near the 22nd Street station will feature special Quakes cocktails and giveaways for fans.
Saturday's match will also honor the United States Women's National Team ahead of the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, with players including former Stanford stars Kelly O'Hara, Alana Cook, Andi Sullivan, and San Jose's own Naomi Girma firing the siren moments before kickoff.
