Early Scoring Leads to Road Win for La Fiera

BEAUMONT, Texas - La Fiera scored seven goals in the first quarter to race past the Texas Strikers on Saturday night by final score of 15-4 at the Ford Arena.

The seven goals score for Hidalgo was the most in the first quarter this season as they started their three game road trip.

With the road win, La Fiera (8-1) improved their record to 4-1 on the season and remains in second place of the Central Division of PASL standings.

Texas (0-9) responded with four consolation goals as they remain the lone winless team in the league.

In the win streak for La Fiera, they are also part of the United States Open Cup for Arena Soccer as they will face Austin FC at date and time to be determined at State Farm Arena.

Hidalgo La Fiera will continue their three game road trip which will head to Saltillo, Mexico to face Saltillo Rancho Seco at the Deportivo RSS with a kickoff set for 8:05 pm.

The next game for Hidalgo La Fiera is on Saturday, January 18th when they host the Monterrey Flash at State Farm Arena with the kickoff set for 7:35 pm.
