June 27, 2016 - Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL)
Martha's Vineyard Sharks News Release
By scoring runs in the first six innings, the Martha's Vineyard Sharks cruised to a 10-6 win over the Brockton Rox on Saturday night at Vineyard Baseball Park.
The Sharks took a 6-1 lead after three innings, but Brockton fought back and trailed by just one run midway through the fifth inning. Two Martha's Vineyard runs in the bottom of the fifth and another in the sixth inning regained the cushion and the Sharks closed out the game.
Jacob Rhinesmith (Indian Hills C.C.) set the tone for the Sharks, as he had three hits in the leadoff spot and knocked in three runs. Cameron Sepede (Salt Lake C.C.) grabbed the win as he relieved starter Steve Colella (UMASS Dartmouth) with Sepede allowing just two hits in two and one third inning of work.
The Sharks next home game will be on Wednesday, June 29th as the Bristol Blues come into town for a 7:00 pm start.
