April 29, 2024 - Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL)
Cape Breton Eagles News Release

For the first time since 2007, a third round QMJHL playoff game will take place at Centre 200 as the Cape Breton Eagles play host to the Baie-Comeau Drakkar. The Eagles are hoping a change of scenery can turn the series around after hotly contested 5-3 Drakkar victory on Friday night in Baie-Comeau. The win gave Baie-Comeau a 2-0 lead in the series.

The Drakkar rallied from down 2-0 in the second game in a contest that didn't lack controversy- the Eagles found themselves on the wrong of three consecutive penalty reviews, ending up tasked with having to kill two major penalties. Justin Gill was a different marker for Baie-Comeau, scoring a hat trick. Cole Burbidge, Charles-Antoine Lavallée, and Xavier Daigle lit the lamp for the Eagles in the loss.

Tickets for the three scheduled games at Centre 200 this week sold out in two hours upon originally being put on sale, but a limited quanity of additional tickets have been put on sale for game day.
