Glens Falls Dragons News Release

Glens Falls: Adirondack led for the entire game except for when it mattered most as the Golden Eagles came back and defeated the Trailblazers by a score of 8-4.

The Eagles kept the Blazers within striking distance thanks to John Leiter (St. Peters) who picked up the win as he threw 4 innings of shutout ball in relief of starter Rick Morales (Siena). They trailed by a score of 4-3 after the fourth inning and finally broke through in the bottom of the 8th against the Trailblazers bullpen.

John Lynn (Wagner) got the rally started with 1 out as he hit a routine grounder to shortstop Greg Wasikowski (Bucknell) who's throw to first was wide of the bag and allowed Lynn to take second. Franklin Miller (Hudson Valley CC) would walk the next 2 Eagles batters to load the bases. The Blazers bullpen would falter as Pat Geraghty (NJIT) would give up an RBI single to Garrett Bernardo (Anderson) that scored 2 runs. Brennan Price (Felician) would then scorch a ball to left center that would plate 2 more runs. Mark Powell (Bucknell) would finish the scoring with an exclamation point as he sent a screaming liner over the right fielder's head for a triple that scored Price from second.

Adirondack would be led offensively by Anthony Rohan (Youngstown) and Justin Korenblatt (La Salle) who each went 3 for 5 at the plate.

The middle of the lineup for the Golden Eagles was similar to the famous Yankees' Murderers Row as Garrett Bernardo, Brennan Price, and Mark Powell went a combined 6 for 13 from the plate with 7 RBI and 4 runs scored.
