
Eagles Announce 07-08 Season Schedule

WINDSOR, Colo.- The defending President's Cup Champion Colorado Eagles in conjunction with the Central Hockey League have announced their schedule for the 2007-08 season. The Eagles will begin their 5th Anniversary season on October 19th at Tim's Toyota Center in Prescott Vally, Arizona against the Arizona Sundogs. The Eagles will host 32 games at the Budweiser Events Center where they have sold out 154 consecutive games and they will be on the road for 32 games for a total of 64 games. Colorado will start on the road for only the second time in the team's five years, and they will play six of their first eight contests on the road. The home opener is Wednesday, October 24, 2007 against the Tulsa Oilers starting at 7:05 p.m. All home games will begin at 7:05 p.m. The Eagles will play their longest homestand in team history, a total of seven games, starting on November 9, 2007 and ending on November 24, 2007. Colorado's longest road trip of the season is five games from January 25, 2008 - February 2, 2008.
Colorado will host 14 of the 16 possible opponents at the Budweiser Events Center, only the Austin Ice Bats and Corpus Christi Rayz will not visit the Eagles this season. The defending champs will travel to all but one city in the CHL in 2007-08, they will not travel to Austin. Colorado will again take on the Rocky Mountain Rage the most, a total of 12 games, six at home and six in Broomfield. The Eagles play the Arizona Sundogs eight times (four home, four away), and they will play no other team more than five times. Of the 64 games, 38 will be played against the Northern Conference and 26 against the Southern Conference. They will play teams in their own division, the Northwest Division, a total of 27 times including the 12 with Rocky Mountain. For the first time in the team's five-year history, the Eagles will play on a Monday night, they have two such games scheduled.
All of the Eagles 64 games, including pre-season and playoffs, will be broadcast on 107.9 The Bear and streaming at 1079thebear.com.
