Colorado Eagles News Release

WINDSOR, Colo. - The Governors' Cup champion Colorado Eagles announced today the signing of two more players -- both rookies -- to their camp roster. The 27th and 28th players respectively are goaltender Doug Raeder and defenseman Baylor Dieter (the up-to-date camp roster is listed below).

Raeder joins Andrew Penner and Mike Mole as the goaltenders in camp after spending the past four years at Division-III Middlebury College. In his collegiate career, the Needham, Mass. native put up strong numbers with a record of 38-13-2, a save percentage of .905 and a goals-against average of 2.23 in 57 career games. He was the winning goaltender during the 2006 NCAA Division III championship game and comes with a connection to the Eagles' new NHL affiliate; his father is an assistant coach for the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Dieter (6-foot-3-inches, 195 pounds) played 11 games with Minnesota State-Mankato last year after playing two seasons with the Green Bay Gamblers of the USHL. In 108 games with the Gamblers, the left-handed defenseman posted 20 points (5-15-20) and was named the team's Most Improved Player in 2006-07.

The 2009-10 regular season starts with a President's Cup Finals rematch against the Texas Brahmas on Friday, October 16. Tickets for all of this season's games are on sale now and can be purchased at the Budweiser Events Center box office, www.ComcastTix.com, 1-877-544-TIXX (8499), the Eagles Office in Water Valley or through any ComcastTIX Outlet.
