Houston Dynamo FC News Release

The Houston Dynamo and New England Revolution battled to a 2-2 draw on Saturday at Gillette Stadium, with Dynamo midfielder Luiz Camargo providing the late equalizer in the 87th minute. Revolution striker Saer Sene scored a pair of goals "" one in each half that gave New England the lead "" but Will Bruin scored a first-half equalizer before Camargo's heroics earned the Dynamo a road point.

The Dynamo are now 3-3-4 (13 points) on the year while the Revolution stand at 4-6-1 (13 points).

Camargo, a second-year player from Brazil, picked a good time to score his first MLS goal. The second-half substitute played a short ball to Brian Ching just outside the top of the box and then made a darting run into the box. Ching turned and then lofted a well-placed pass behind the Revolution defense and into the path of Camargo, who let the ball bounce once before volleying it past the near post and New England goalkeeper Matt Reis.

The Dynamo trailed late due to Sene, the first-year French striker. Sene opened the scoring with a 26th-minute penalty after Brad Davis ran into Sene in the penalty area. Then, after 56 minutes, Sene stole the ball from Dynamo defender Geoff Cameron near midfield and raced into the Houston area before beating Dynamo goalkeeper Tally Hall to the near post for his sixth goal of the year.

Bruin offered the tying goal six minutes after Sene's penalty. Davis lofted a pinpoint delivery with a free kick into the back edge of the six-yard box where Bruin rose above the Revolution defense and headed the ball past Reis and into the net. It was Bruin's team-leading fifth goal of the season and Davis' first assist of the year.

The draw completes a stretch of four games in 11 days for the Dynamo. Houston went 1-1-2 (W-L-T) to earn five points from the four games.

Bruin's goal was his tenth career MLS goal, moving him to a tie for sixth on the Dynamo all-time regular season scoring chart.

It was Cameron's 141st Dynamo appearance in all competitions. He moved past Wade Barrett to seventh on the Dynamo franchise list.

Dynamo midfielder Calen Carr started the match for his 100th appearance in Major League Soccer.

The Dynamo return home on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. to face the LA Galaxy in a rematch of the 2011 MLS Cup Final. The match is sold out. It be seen on the NBC Sports Network and can be heard on SportsTalk 790 AM and La Ranchera 850 AM.
