HOUSTON (Wednesday, February 4, 2009) - The Houston Dynamo and KHOU-TV/DT announced a groundbreaking partnership Wednesday that will see 17 Dynamo games and three new Dynamo shows air on KHOU's new digital platform, Channel 11.2, throughout the 2009 season.

Each regular season Dynamo game that is not broadcast nationally will be aired live on Channel 11.2, with a 30-minute pre-game show and a 15-minute post-game show.

Channel 11.2 is available to Comcast homes on Channel 310 and to all homes with a digital converter box. Dynamo programs airing on Channel 11.2 include a weekly condensed version of the Dynamo All-Access with Glenn Davis radio show; Dynamo Rewind, a one-hour replay of each Dynamo game televised on Channel 11.2; and a monthly Dynamo Insider show.

"This is one of our best business developments of the year," Dynamo Chief Operating Officer Chris Canetti said. "Our partnership with KHOU is a true indicator of the Dynamo's growth and the rising popularity of soccer. We look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship that will provide great broadcast content for Dynamo fans. I'd like to thank KHOU for its belief in the Dynamo and invite fans to tune in throughout the year."

In addition, the Dynamo will be featured in a five-minute segment on 11 News This Morning, Saturday mornings at 8:55 a.m. In all, KHOU will air more than 100 hours of Dynamo-related content throughout its platforms during the 2009 Dynamo season.

"We are thrilled to partner with the Houston Dynamo to bring viewers game telecasts, Dynamo Insider, and Dynamo All-Access," said Susan McEldoon, president and general manager of KHOU-TV/DT, Channel 11. "This is exciting local content for 11.2 and offers Channel 11 another way to connect with our community."

Channel 11.2's first game broadcast will be the Dynamo's March 28 road game against the San Jose Earthquakes, kicking off at 9:30 p.m.
