Tri-City Dust Devils News Release
The 2021 campaign came to a close for the Tri-City Dust Devils (43-68) with an 8-4 loss on Sunday afternoon at Gesa Stadium to the Eugene Emeralds. Kenyon Yovan had two hits, including a solo home run, in the season finale.
Eugene took a lead they would not surrender in the bottom of the fifth inning. After tying the game in the top of the fifth, Tri-City issued up four runs after allowing four hits and committing three errors. Reliever Dakota Donovan suffered the loss after allowing four runs in his lone inning of work in the fifth.
The Emeralds will now move on to play the Spokane Indians beginning on Tuesday in the best-of-five High-A West Championship Series. Every game of the 2021 High-A West Championship Series will be played at Avista Stadium in Spokane.
