OKLAHOMA CITY-Daniel Duris won Goaltender of the Month for January 2024, the North American Hockey League announced on Thursday.

In a division-leading 7-1 month for the Warriors, Duris led the way with a 5-1 record, 1.67 GAA, and .944 save percentage in six starts. Duris made 168 saves and allowed only ten goals.

The 20-year-old from Martin, Slovakia has proven to be a workhorse for the Warriors this season. His 1725 minutes in net are fourth in the NAHL. Duris has spent his entire career, which began in Wichita Falls in 2021, with the Warriors organization. Nobody in franchise history has played and won more games than Daniel, who backstopped the team to the 2023 Robertson Cup championship last May.

"I am really happy for the recognition, but it is the result of the whole team," Duris told NAHL.com. "We had a really good month and the guys played unreal in front of me. We have been playing much better since the new year and the atmosphere in the whole team has been really good. I believe that it will continue like this."

The league-wide honor selects one forward, one defenseman, and one goaltender at the conclusion of each month. Drew Sutton earned runner-up honors in October.
