Oklahoma Warriors News Release
AMARILLO, Texas - Hunter Jones, Brendan Williams and Rylan Brady each lit the lamp as the Oklahoma Warriors scored three unanswered goals to defeat the Amarillo Wranglers 3-1 at the Budweiser Bull Pen Friday.
The Wranglers jumped out to a 1-0 lead at 8:01 of the opening period after an intercepted pass allowed for an unassisted goal, but the Warriors would not be down for long. Will Brenner skated up the length of the ice and set up Jones for his 11th goal and 30th point of the season exactly two minutes later. The teams headed into the first intermission tied 1-1.
The Warriors took control of the game halfway through the period when Williams slung in a slot shot from Jones for his 12th of the season. Jones, Williams and Brady connected on the powerplay at 14:34 to add insurance with the 3-1 goal.
Neither team found the back of the net in the third period, and Daniel Duris stopped 26 of 27 for his 13th win of the 2022-23 season. Williams and Brady each joined Malte Hasselgren for the team lead in goals scored with 12.
The Warriors are back in action for another 7:15 p.m. puck drop against the Wranglers Saturday at the Budweiser Bull Pen.
