BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - Battle Creek Yankees third baseman Eric Duncan has been promoted to the Tampa Yankees of the high-A Florida State League. Duncan - the New York Yankees' first-round pick in the draft a year ago - hit .259 in 78 games with Battle Creek. His 12 home runs, 57 RBIs, 52 runs scored and 23 doubles led the team. In another move, second baseman Rafael Rodriguez will return to Battle Creek after a brief stint at short-season Staten Island.
