Dunbar and North Crowley to Tip Off Flyers High School Basketball Series

FORT WORTH, Texas, November 13, 2006 - The first game of the Fort Worth Flyers High School Basketball Series will tip off on Tuesday, December 19 at 6 p.m. at the Fort Worth Convention Center as the varsity boys basketball teams from Dunbar High School and North Crowley High School will face off in a key matchup between two of the area's best teams. The game will be played prior to the Fort Worth Flyers contest against the Sioux Falls Skyforce at 8 p.m.

"We are really excited about this game and the opportunity to highlight two outstanding basketball programs like Dunbar and North Crowley," said Flyers team president Ken Nicholson. "We are proud to have them be part of the inaugural game of our high school series."

Doors will open at 5 p.m., and a special $6 general admission price will be offered to all fans through halftime of the Dunbar and North Crowley matchup. Tickets purchased for the high school game will also allow fans entry into the Flyers game.

Fans in attendance will be entertained by performances by the FlyGirls, the official dance team of the Flyers and Big Shot, the team's high-flying mascot, powered by Digicom. Kids can also enjoy free admission to the kids zone until the third quarter; the area includes interactive inflatables and various activities fun for kids of all ages.
