Duluth Huskies News Release

Duluth Minn. - The Duluth Huskies have recruited two more pitchers for the 2018 season. These additions include Zachary Seipel (RHP) from Eagan, Minnesota and Jack Corbell (RHP) from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.

Zachary Seipel is a junior at the University of Minnesota-Crookston (Crookston, Minn.). He showed up to fall ball in his freshman year as a catcher, but soon developed into a strong reliever on the mound. He led Crookston in saves last season with 12, and struck out 55 hitters in 41 innings. Seipel made 24 total appearances, with one start. He led his staff with a 2.41 ERA and was named All-NSIC Second Team two seasons in a row. This season so far Seipel has tossed 11.2 innings, struck out 21 batters, and recorded four saves in eight appearances.

Jack Corbell is a junior at the University of Miami of Ohio. He began his career at Indiana Tech, but then transferred to Eastern Florida State. While playing there, he appeared in 11 games, tossing 30.2 innings, striking out 26 and only walking nine. Corbell finished the season with a 3.52 ERA, a 1-0 record, and two saves. In the 2018 season so far, Corbell has 1 save, after appearing in six games for the Red Hawks, throwing 6.1 innings, and striking out seven.

The Huskies are pleased to announce the addition of Seipel and Corbell because they will undoubtedly aid the bullpen that is being developed and given their experience on the mound in their college careers, they will be a big help to the Huskies' organization this summer.

The Huskies open the 2018 season with five road games, but open at Wade Stadium Sunday, June 3rd against the Eau Claire Express. Season tickets, punch cards, and other ticket packages are still available. For more information, contact the Duluth Huskies front office at 218-786-9909 or huskies@duluthhuskies.com.
