ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (August 10, 2003) – Rusty McNamara went 4-6 with two RBI to pace Long Island's 16-hit barrage as the Ducks defeated the Atlantic City Surf, 11-4, Sunday evening at the Sandcastle.

Surf starter Andy High struggled with control problems in the third inning, walking the first three batters. Javier Cardona then drove in one run on a sacrifice fly and McNamara roped a two-run single to put the Ducks ahead 3-1.

After Ric Johnson's RBI double made the score 3-2, Long Island countered with four more runs off High in the fourth and fifth innings. Jaimie Pogue's RBI single and a two-run single by Justin Davies highlighted Long Island's offensive attack.

High (6-7) was pulled after four and two-third innings pitched, allowing seven runs on seven hits while striking out two and walking six. He has not won a start since July 3rd.

Bobby Rodgers (7-3) tossed six and two-third solid innings for the Ducks to earn the victory, allowing three runs, two earned, on five hits while striking out seven and walking three.

Long Island would tag on another run in the eighth and three in the ninth.
