Phoenix, Ariz. - The world champion Arizona Rattlers have been assigned defensive tackle Anthony McCloud for the 2015 Arena Football League (AFL) season. This is McCloud's first season in the AFL and with the Arizona Rattlers.

The 6-foot-2, 315-pound McCloud gives the Rattlers a lot more flexibility and depth in the defensive line, as Arizona continues to increase the pressure they get off their pass rush.

Prior to joining the Rattlers, McCloud spent time in the National Football League (NFL). He joined the Minnesota Vikings during the 2013 preseason, and spent the rest of 2013 on the Arizona Cardinals practice squad.

McCloud played for the Florida State Seminoles, and earned All-ACC honorable mention honors, and the team's Unselfish Leadership Award for his 2012 season.

The Thomasville, Georgia native attended Thomas County Central High School where he earned the Thomasville Times-Enterprise's Defensive Player of the Year for 2007.

The Arizona Rattlers (5-2) will face the Las Vegas Outlaws (3-3) Saturday, May 16th at 6 p.m. in the US Airways Center. The game will also be televised on FOX Sports Arizona, and streamed online at ESPN3 or the WatchESPN app on a tablet or smartphone. For additional information please visit www.azrattlers.com.
