Greenville, SC - Can you feel it? That baseball fever. With Opening Day less than three weeks away, the Greenville Drive want to make sure baseball is on your mind. On Saturday, March 15th the Drive will be hosting their first "open house" of the season at Fluor Field at the West End beginning at 1 PM.

"We're getting so close to Opening Day and we want to make sure that our fans are anticipating April 3rd just as much as we are with this free event," commented Drive General Manager Mike deMaine.

As part of the open house, all those in attendance will receive free admission to the Michigan State-Quinnipiac collegiate baseball game that has a first pitch of 2 PM.

Drive Co-Owner and President Craig Brown, who is a Michigan State alumnus, noted, "This game will be a great precursor to the start of the Drive's season. Michigan State has a strong alumni base in the Upstate region and this game gives fans a chance to see two premier college teams that they would not normally get to see play."

The Drive/Coca-Cola Caravan will also be a part of the day's activities, giving fans of all ages the opportunity to take part in interactive games, such as a speed pitch and batting cage. Do you measure up to Clay Buchholz's jersey or Lars Anderson's bat? Fans will be able to find out as plenty of Drive memorabilia will be on hand as well, including game-used bats, jerseys, helmets, and other equipment.

This will also be one of the final opportunities for fans to purchase one of the many ticket plan offerings, in which great seats still remain, before single-game tickets go on sale the following weekend.

"This is going to be a very exciting day in which fans can get their fix of baseball prior to the start of the Drive's season," added deMaine. "There will be a great game on the field involving Michigan State and Quinnipiac, as well as plenty of family friendly games and entertainment throughout the rest of the ballpark."
