Greenville Drive News Release

Greenville, S.C. - Do you have a special talent that Greenville needs to know about? Maybe you're a ventriloquist, comedian, singer, dancer, or face painter. On Saturday, February 21st the Greenville Drive will give you the opportunity to showcase your talent, and earn a gig at Fluor Field during the 2009 season.

Drive General Manager, Mike deMaine, commented on the talent show, saying, "We pride ourselves on making the entire Drive and ballpark experience entertaining for all of our fans. Once our fans step foot into Fluor Field, we want them to enjoy themselves, and make many lasting memories. With Opening Day less than 60 days away, we plan on finding many talented people that can add to the many ways our fans can enjoy themselves at the ballpark."

The rules are simple - perform your talent in front of the panel of judges and you could end up performing at Fluor Field. The Drive is looking for clowns, singers, dancers, and other forms of entertainers who can perform at the Main Street Plaza, Field Street Gate, concourse, or the Spinx 500 Club during the 2009 season.

The Drive is also looking for entertainers to serve as members of JDew's Crew, the official Promotions and In-Game Entertainment Team of the Greenville Drive. In addition, those wishing to perform the National Anthem at one of the Drive's 70 home games are encouraged to tryout at the talent show as well.

Auditions will be held at Liberty Tap Room and Grill, located at 941 South Main Street in the West End of Greenville, on February 21st from 10 AM - 2 PM. Anyone and everyone is encouraged to audition, as long as they remain respectful, and family-friendly oriented when performing their talent.

Those wishing to perform are encouraged to register online by visiting the Drive's website (www.GreenvilleDrive.com) and clicking on the "Greenville's Got Talent" link. Registered participants will audition on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The Drive understands that not everyone will be able to attend the tryouts, therefore there is a backup plan. If you feel you have a talent but cannot attend the tryouts, you can send a video, CD, or cassette with your performance to:

"These individuals will enhance our family-friendly environment that the entire Drive organization prides itself on."

The Drive open up the 2009 season at home on Monday, April 13th. Season ticket plans, luxury accommodations, and group outings for the 2009 season are currently on sale and can be ordered by calling the Drive at (864) 240-4500.
