Greenville Drive News Release

Greenville, SC - In 2009, Valentine's Day will take on additional meaning for many baseball fans, as it is also the day in which pitchers and catchers will report to Spring Training. A week later, all players will report to their respective training sites, signaling the start of the 2009 baseball season.

For the past 10 years the toughest ticket to come by for Spring Training games was a ticket to see the Boston Red Sox in action at their spring training home in Ft Myers, Florida. But in 2009, Greenville Drive ticket plan holder, Lester Erwin and 3 companions of Lester's choice, will have a VIP premier pass to see the Red Sox play two games at their City of the Palms Park in Fort Myers, Florida. Lester came by his tickets in a surprise fashion as he was the winner of the "Drive Ticket Holder's Spring Training Trip" contest that was held by the Drive at the close of its 2008 season.

The Drive offered the VIP Spring Training trip as a reward to its 2008 Ticket Plan Holders - all Full Season, Half Season, Quarter Season, and Weekend plan ticket holders - who renewed their Drive ticket plans for the 2009 season by September 15th, 2008.

Drive Co-owner and President, Craig Brown, commented on the trip, saying, "We wanted to recognize our loyal ticket plan holders in a unique way and we could think of no better way to do that then by sending several of our lucky fans to Florida in the Spring. This will be a very special trip for Lester and his group as they will attend a pair of Red Sox Spring Training games and also get a chance to meet several current Red Sox and former Drive players from seasons past. Lester and his group will also take part in a special VIP tour of both the major and minor league training facilities that are maintained by the Red Sox in Ft. Myers and have the opportunity to see the 2009 Drive team in formation. There is nothing better than Spring Training to get an up close and personal view of one's favorite team and we are excited that Lester now has that opportunity."

As the winner of the "Drive/Red Sox Spring Training Trip," Erwin, and three companions, will also receive a round-trip flight from Greenville to Fort Myers and hotel accommodations for four days and three nights.

"I'm very excited to have the opportunity to travel to Fort Myers and see several Red Sox Spring Training games, as I am an avid fan," said Lester. "This will be a great way to kickoff the 2009 baseball season by seeing my favorite Red Sox players, visiting with former Drive players as well as getting a chance to see the current Drive team in formation. The entire trip promises to be most exciting."

Drive General Manager, Mike deMaine, added, "We are fortunate to have a very loyal group of ticket plan holders and we are always looking for opportunities to add to the value of being a Drive ticket plan holder. We have been able to increase the number of our ticket plan holders each year since our Inaugural Season in 2006, and this contest was just another way to say a special "thank you" to our most loyal fans. We will continue to offer surprise amenities and contests like this to our ticket plan customers in the years ahead."

The Drive have ticket plans available that meet the needs and budgets of all of its customers. Call (864) 240-4500 to speak with a representative or log onto to www.GreenvilleDrive.com for more information.
