Tulsa Drillers News Release
The Tulsa Drillers will play their first July home games when they host their divisional opponent, the Arkansas Travelers, in a four-game series that will run Wednesday, July 9 - Saturday, July 12.
First pitch for every game is scheduled for 7:05 PM at ONEOK Field.
The promotional highlights for the homestand include Nolan Arenado Jerseys on July 10, Friday Night Fireworks on July 11 and, in recognition of the World Cup Final earlier in the day, Drillers Soccer Scarves on July 12. The complete promotional list for the homestand is below.
Individual tickets for all the games, and any other game this season, are currently available for purchase online at TulsaDrillers.com, in person at the ONEOK Field Ticket Office (201 N. Elgin Avenue) or over the phone at (918) 744-5901.
STAR GAZING: The Drillers roster currently features six of the Rockies' Top 20 Prospects, according to MLB.com, in RHP Jon Gray (#1 overall), C Tom Murphy (#7 overall), SS Trevor Story (#9 overall), LHP Tyler Anderson (#10 overall), SS Cristhian Adames (#14 overall) and RHP Scott Oberg (#16 overall).
Arkansas currently features 5 of the top 20 Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim prospects: 3B Kaleb Cowart (#1 overall), RHP R.J. Alvarez (#6 overall), 2B Alex Yarbrough (#8 overall), RHP Cam Bedrosian (#11 overall) and SS Eric Stamets (#13 overall).
VERSUS THE TRAVS: The Drillers have compiled a winning, 9-7 record against Arkansas this season, but they have won only three of eight games played at ONEOK Field.
COMING & GOING: On their just completed road trip, the Drillers added outfielder Delta Cleary Jr. and pitcher R.J. Seidel to their roster. Cleary Jr. rejoined the team after hitting .250 in 16 games for Triple-A Colorado Springs. Seidel spent seven seasons in the Milwaukee Brewers' farm system before signing a minor league contract with the Colorado Rockies earlier this month. Infielder Jayson Langfels was placed on the Disabled List with a dislocated finger.
FAMILIAR FOE: The Travelers and Drillers will see a lot of each other over the next couple of weeks. After the upcoming series, the Drillers will go on the road to Northwest Arkansas to play four games in Springdale against the Naturals. They will then return home for another four-game series with the Travelers. It will be the final regular season visit to Tulsa this season for the Travs.
