Dream Re-Signs Forward Jennifer Lacy

Atlanta, February 17, 2009- The Atlanta Dream announced today that the team has re-signed 6'3" forward Jennifer Lacy. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"Jen is a tremendous athlete who has done a lot of great things for our team," said Dream General Manager & Head Coach Marynell Meadors. "She got significant playing time for us last year and brings fire, excitement and enthusiasm to the game. I think she is going to fit in extremely well with the new talent we will have on the floor."

Lacy, one of the Dream's team captains last season, averaged 5.7 points and 2.7 rebounds per game for the Dream in 2008. She appeared in 33 games, including 22 starts, and averaged 18.3 minutes per game. Lacy spent this offseason in China competing for Beijing in the WCBA.

Lacy, who is entering her fourth season in the league, was originally acquired by the Dream from the Phoenix Mercury in the 2008 WNBA Expansion Draft. A standout collegiately at Pepperdine University, Lacy is the first player from the West Coast Conference to make a WNBA roster. She was also a member of the Phoenix Mercury roster which won the 2007 WNBA championship.
