Dream Named Tier-Three Affiliate

DANVILLE, IL - The Nevada Dream (Reno, NV) of the Gridiron Developmental Football League has been named as the "Official Tier-Three Affiliate of the Danville Dragons," of the Ultimate Indoor Football League. Nevada Dream is the second team to be named to the farm system, the first was the East Central Missouri Eagles which is the Rookie Affiliate. Danville is still searching for a Tier-Two program.

Saturday, January 7, 2012, Dragons' head coach Jarrod Rogol will be in Reno to meet with the Dream coaching staff and also assist with the team's open tryout.

2012 marks the inaugural season for the Dream in the GDFL, which has 115 teams across the country from the west coast to east coast. The Dream executive staff includes; Ondra Berry, Chris Henderson and Milt Muniz. Mr. Muniz will also serve as Head Coach and General Manager.

"We are very happy to be affiliated with such a great organization. We believe that our two franchises are a perfect fit. The Dragons know how to run a successful competitive team with great community support and that exactly what we are going to do here in Reno. Our early success in our inaugural year will continue and being one of the Dragons farm teams will give our great players an opportunity to grow in there football career's," stated Muniz.

The Danville Dragons will play a 14 game regular season schedule March 1-June 16, in the UIFL. The franchise is based in Danville, IL. Some of the notable signed players include; Marvin Johnson (Oregon), Dustin Jefferson and DaJuan Warren (Illinois), Dino Cox (FAU) and Micah Brown (US National Team and CFL Toronto Argonauts).

Having a team in Reno is an ideal location, with the number of talented players to have come from Nevada and UNLV as well as along the pacific coast," stated Dragons' general manager Michael Hawkins.
