Lakeland Raiders News Release
LAKELAND, FL- The Lakeland Raiders are clicking on all cylinders as the program has been doing a phenomenal job in getting the team ready for the 2012 Inaugural Season opener against the Rome Rampage. Owner Michael Mink's token phrase "All In" is in relevance to him and his staff giving all they have to make the team the best not only in the UIFL but in any Arena/Indoor style league. The players have also grasped the phrase and have been hard at work to make the final roster. Raiders General Manager Feddy Azofeifa commented, "The team looks great and we are looking forward to putting on a great show for the home crowd."
The hard work that the Lakeland Raiders staff have been putting in does not go without recognition as they have been seeing the excitement and involvement from the community increase. Darius Malloy, a young 24 year old up and coming Lakeland artist and Kathleen High School alumn took it upon himself to pay tribute to the new Lakeland Indoor team. Malloy, better known as RedStryke, has been living in Lakeland for 19 years and has been pursuing a music career since the age of 14. One of three children, Darius is a very hard worker and has been putting all his efforts into making it big in the music industry. With his unique sound, RedStryke teamed up with BlackGround and Johnnie Rose to establish a theme song for the Lakeland Raiders titled "They Ain't Ready." He used the inspiration of the military based story behind the Raiders' name to write the song, hence the line in the song that says "suited up, ready for war". "A football game is most certainly a battle" commented Darius. The Raiders are very thankful for the great sound produced by RedStryke and have arranged for Redstryke to perform the song live at the Raiders opening game on March 10th against the Rome Rampage. RedStryke has an album out entitled "My Future" which is for sale on well known online stores like iTunes, Amazon MP3, Napster, Spotify, and more. It is also on sale at Evolution Records in downtown Lakeland.
The Lakeland Raiders have season tickets on sale ranging from $59 to $3500 for a lower level box which makes it very affordable for fans. The Raiders will host seven home games with a beginning time of 7:15pm for all games. The Lakeland Raiders full home and away schedule are available on their website at www.lakelandraiders.com.
