New York Dragons News Release

The Dragons continue to add depth to their roster with the signing of OL Torrin Tucker, along with the additions of WR Terry Moss and OL Elliot Seifert.

Tucker (6-6, 315), comes to the Dragons with four years experience in the NFL. Tucker was signed as a free agent by the Dallas Cowboys in 2003. After spending the early part of the season on the practice squad, Tucker made his NFL debut on November 2nd, against the Washington Redskins. He appeared in seven games as a rookie, starting once. In 2004, Tucker started all 13 games he appeared in for Dallas at right tackle, helping the Cowboys rush for 111 yards per game. Tucker started 10 games in 2005, moving to left tackle and helping the rushing attack improve to 116.3 yards per game. Tucker signed a two-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in April of 2006, but after a knee injury put him on injured reserve, he was released before seeing any action.

Tucker played his college ball at the University of Southern Mississippi, where he posted an outstanding career as an offensive guard. In his senior season in 2002, Tucker was one of the nation's top performers at his position, earning All-Conference USA honors and participating in the 2003 Senior Bowl.

"At this point we are really excited about the prospect of adding a guy of this caliber," said head coach Weylan Harding. "Seeing the success Greg Randall had with us last season, Tucker is coming in with a similar pedigree and we feel he can contribute to our efforts. We are excited about this acquisition."

Seifert (6-7, 300), joins the Dragons after an outstanding four-year career at Temple University. He started all 34 games in which he played for the Owls, and after his senior season, he received Temple's Top Hog Award as the team's best offensive lineman. A team captain and 2006-07 Temple Male Student-Athlete of the Year, Seifert capped off his college career playing in the inaugural Texas vs. The Nation Senior All-Star Game. In his senior season, he was a semifinalist for the 2006 Draddy Award, which recognizes one individual as the country's best in academic success, football performance and community leadership. Seifert also attended training camp with the Cincinnati Bengals this past summer.

Moss (5-9, 189), joins the Dragons as a rookie out of Ball State University, where he played four years as wide receiver and on kick return. For the Cardinals, Moss played in 43 of 45 games, starting in 25. He recorded 75 receptions for 1219 yards and 12 touchdowns. He returned 77 kickoffs for 1524 yards and one touchdown. His most productive season came in his senior year when he recorded 27 receptions for 685 yards and 8 touchdowns and was chosen to play in the 2006 Hula Bowl All-Star Game. Moss spent time in the Detroit Lions camp, but was waived before the start of the season.
