Dragons sign outstanding veterans

Tijuana Dragons News Release


Tijuana, MX. Andrew Ditto, GM of the Tijuana Dragons professional basketball team today announced the signing of the first group of veteran players for the upcoming season. According to Ditto, "The competition in the ABA is really heating up; we're seeing some top players being signed by the other teams. Once they see our guys, they'll know that there is some serious competition coming from Tijuana."

Players signed in Veteran's Camp include:

Lorenzo Johnson, a 6'9" center from Colorado State University, Houston Rockets & Harlem Globetrotters.
Justin Legrand Logan, a 6'0" guard from U of Idaho
Albert Powell, a 6'0" guard from Chaminade in Hawaii
Gene Shipley, a 6'8" center from Brandon U in Canada
John Ward, a 6'4" forward from Brandice Jr. College
Andre Butt, a 6'2" forward from Monterrey Penisula College
Derrick Stevens, a 6'0" guard from Colorado State University
Marquis Holmes Power, a 6'6" forward from U of Idaho

Acie Earl, the Dragons Head Coach, added, "Fans will be very impressed with the talent and skills these young men have - they are very fast, very powerful and have great court sense. In practice, they operate almost as a team that has been together for years - that type of savvy. This will be fun."

Ditto also announced that TGI Fridays, Placio Azteca Hotel, Tell Cell Phone Company and Mama Mias Pizzaria have all joined the team as Sponsors - and are showing their support.
