Ontario Warriors News Release

Ontario, CA. Oliver Binns, GM of the ABA Ontario Warriors professional basketball team today announced that the Warriors have signed their third player, Lelan McDougal, for the upcoming season. According to Binns, "McDougal, 31, is not only the oldest Warrior but the most experienced. He has been playing professionally since his college graduation in 1996. A native of Ontario, he returns home to where he starred for the Etiwanda Eagles during his prep years."

McDougal is a 6'3" shooting guard who was named Second Team All-Big West Conference in 1995-96 at USCB. He finished second in the conference in scoring averaging 15 points per game and 4 rebounds. The well-travelled McDougal makes his third stint in the ABA after playing for Phoenix and San Diego as well as internationally in France, Italy and Lebanon.

McDougal added, "It's great to be home and I'm really interested to see how much better this league has become since its expansion. I see some top players being signed and am excited about the competition level."

All 36 of the Warriors games will be broadcast on KWRM 1370AM Corona. The Warriors will play its first game at Fresno on November 7th and at home on November 23rd vs Calgary.
