Crush sign league's first Pakistani player

October 16, 2004 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Maywood Buzz News Release

Orange County, CA. Earl Cureton, Head Coach of the ABA Orange County Crush professional basketball team today announced the signing of Kamran Sufi to the team's roster. According to Cureton, "We are very pleased to have Kamran on the team. From the championship court of Mater Dei High School in Orange County, California to his fast-break command at Saint Mary's College, Kamran has brought lots of excitement to basketball. He is a master of assists and steals and his numbers back it up. While in college, he averaged 7.5 assists and 2 steals per game."

Cureton added, "Sufi is definitely the type of player that will fit into the scheme of the Orange County Crush basketball program. The Olympics showed that there is some great international talent in the world - we have one of them - and he's local to boot. A great addition to the team."
