Dragons Place Jefry Sierra on Disabled List; Muller Returns

DAYTON, OHIO-The Dayton Dragons announced the following roster changes today:

Outfielder Jefry Sierra has been placed on the disabled list with a bruised heel.

Outfielder Kurtis Muller has been promoted to Dayton from extended spring training.

The Dragons roster remains at the Midwest League limit of 25 players.

A new roster is attached.

Sierra suffered the injury in the second inning on Friday night while running the bases in Bowling Green. Sierra has appeared in 20 games for the Dragons this season, batting .208 with no home runs and five runs batted in.

Muller, a product of the University of Iowa, was a 22nd round draft pick by the Reds in 2010. He appeared in 26 games for the Dragons in 2011, batting .253 with no home runs, seven RBI, and eight stolen bases. He has spent most this season in extended spring training but has played in eight games with Bakersfield, batting .182.

The Dragons host the Great Lakes Loons today at 2:00 p.m. The series concludes Monday at 7:00 p.m. at Fifth Third Field.
