Today's Game : The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the Fort Wayne TinCaps (affiliate of the San Diego Padres) in the first game of a three-game series.

Last Game: The Dragons were rained out at Lansing both Thursday and Friday.

Today's Dragons Starting Pitcher: Robert Stephenson makes his fourth Midwest League start. He will be on a 70-pitch limit tonight. Stephenson was the Reds first round draft pick in 2011 (27th overall selection). He becomes the ninth first round draft pick to play for the Dragons and the first since Devin Mesoraco in 2008.

Individual Notes

- Joe Terry is batting .382 over his last nine games, going 13 for 34. He has three doubles and a triple in his last three games.

- Kyle Waldrop is batting .343 (23 for 67) with two home runs over his last 18 games, raising his average from .263 to .277.

- Nick O'Shea is batting .333 over his last seven games, going 8 for 24. All four of his 2012 home runs have come in the second half.

- Mike Dennhardt allowed his first runs since June 29 on Tuesday at Great Lakes, snapping a string of 18 consecutive scoreless innings over 11 relief appearances. This was the longest scoreless streak of the year for a Dayton pitcher.

- Carlos Gonzalez over his last seven relief appearances: 3-0, 0.54 ERA, 1 Sv, 16.2 IP, 2 R, 1 ER.

Team Notes

- The Dragons are 6-3 over their last nine games. They have scored four runs or more in seven of the nine games.

Playoff Chase : The Dragons must finish first or second in the East Division in the second half (excluding Lansing and Bowling Green) to qualify for the playoffs. Entering today's games, they are five games out of the playoff slot.
