Auburn Doubledays News Release
The Auburn Doubledays announced today that they will be hosting the 5th Annual Spin-A-Thon at Falcon Park on Saturday August 25, 2012 starting at noon. The money raised for the event will go to the Jim and Juli Boeheim Foundation, which supports local charities and the fight against cancer.
A Spin-A-Thon is a non-stop fitness event in which the people pedaling on stationary bikes are guided by inspiring instructors and energizing music. All fitness levels are invited to participate in the fun and healthy event.
"It's wonderful to participate with an event such as this," Auburn Doubledays President David Daum said. "Not only does it promote health, but it goes to a great cause with Cancer Research and a well-known foundation."
Registration is $500.00 per sponsor/team and $25.00 for individual riders, who can also be placed on a team.
To register stop by or call Fitness Forum or the Auburn Doubledays office at 315-255-2489 or contact Jill Payne at 315-446-3141 or by e-mail at jpayne@fitness-forum.com.
The event will start at noon with the Spin-A-Thon and go until 5 p.m., at which time a post party will take place, and then at 7:05 the Doubledays will take on the Mahoning Valley Scrappers.
The spin bikes as well as water and additional giveaways will be provided to those participating in the event.
