Fireworks Night Rescheduled

JAMESTOWN, N.Y.--The Jamestown Jammers are pleased to announce the rescheduling of "Fireworks Night" sponsored by Jamestown Mattress. "Fireworks Night" will now be moved to August 3 rd pending approval of our fireworks permit. The Jamestown Jammers welcome all fans holding a ticket stub from July 3 rd to join us for "Fireworks Night". Any fan that cannot attend "Fireworks Night" is welcome to bring their ticket stub to any single remaining home game.

The Jammers will also be holding a Kids Clinic this Saturday July 14 th. Kids ages 6-12 are invited to join the Jamestown Jammers at Diethrick Park Saturday morning. Registration will take place at 8:30am, the camp runs from 9-11am. The camp consists of instruction from Jammer players and coaches, it covers hitting, fielding, pitching, and more. After the drills are completed there will be a complimentary hot dog lunch.

Diethrick Park is set to host a lot baseball in the next two weeks. The Jamestown Jammers open this Wednesday with a six game homestand, three games against the Vermont Lake Monsters, then followed by three games against the Tri-City ValleyCats. Then after a one day road game against Batavia the Jammers come home to face Batavia and the Mahoning Valley Scrappers.

Last night the Jammers accomplished something they haven't done all season, they swept a team. Not only did they sweep a team they swept the first place Brooklyn Cyclones. The Cyclones have had the Jammers number for many years and this time the Jammers prevailed. The Jammers went 4-for-6 on this road trip against the Staten Island Yankees and the Cyclones.
