THE SCENARIO: Rio Grande Valley edged Birmingham 44-43 in OT last week in Alabama to win their second game in a row, while Arkansas is off to a 3-0 streak to start the season. The Twisters are 5-0 dating back to the last two games of the 2005 season.

THE SERIES: Arkansas defeated Rio Grande 42-28 in the only prior meeting between the two teams; July 24, 2004 at the Dodge Arena. This is the second week in a row the Dorados have faced a team for the first time since 2004.

"This is a division game, so it's obviously a very important game," Dorados quarterback Josh Kellett said. "We're 1-0 in the division and they're undefeated. And you always want to win at home."

Marty Hammond on last week's OT win at Birmingham

"I felt we played poorly the entire game, and Birmingham made us pay for it in the second half, that's for sure," Hammond said. "We've got a long ways to go. We just have to keep getting better each week.
