Doner & Gleadle Named to USLC Team of the Week

SEASIDE, Calif. - Monterey Bay F.C. defender Morey Doner has been named to the USL Championship Team of the Week for Week 14 of the 2023 regular season following the Club's win over Las Vegas Lights FC over the weekend. Joining Doner in the 18 with his second-consecutive Team of the Week nod is Sam Gleadle.

Doner has been named to his first Team of the Week this season for a performance that included the opening goal of the contest at Cashman Field in Las Vegas on Saturday night. His long run down the center of the pitch and past the Lights FC defense was capped off with a smooth finish in the 42nd minute. He was also very impressive defensively, recording four clearances, three tackles won and one interception, in addition to winning four of six duels.

Gleadle made his way onto the Week 14 bench for yet another fantastic showing, his second-consecutive match with two goal contributions. Gleadle assisted Doner's opening goal in the first half before smashing the ball into the bottom left corner in the final minutes to steal all three points on the night for the Crisp and Kelp. In total, Gleadle recorded two chances created, two interceptions and six duels won.
